What a free diagnostic covers
- Won’t start, no display, or starts and then stops
- Slow, freezing or crashing
- Blue screens, error messages and failed updates
- Suspected virus or malware
- Noisy fans, overheating, battery and charging problems
- Failing hard drives and data at risk
What happens next
- We test it. Hardware, drive health, memory, power, software: whatever it takes to find the real cause, not just the symptom.
- We call you with a fixed quote. You’ll know the fault, the cost including parts, and how long it’ll take.
- You decide. Go ahead and the quote is what you pay. Decide not to, and there’s no charge for the diagnostic.
No fix, no fee
If we take on a repair and can’t fix it, you don’t pay. If a machine isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you straight and can transfer your files to a new one.

Is the diagnostic really free?
Yes. There’s no charge to find the fault and quote, whether you drop the machine in or we collect it, and no obligation to go ahead.
How long does a diagnostic take?
Usually the same or next working day. Drive tests and intermittent faults can take longer, and we’ll tell you if that’s the case.
Can you diagnose over the phone?
Sometimes. Call 07912 529164 and describe what’s happening; if it’s a software problem we can often confirm it in a remote session, and if not we’ll book it in.
